Terms of Service
Last updated 30 July 2026
These terms cover your use of Anvil, a customer-relationship tool for field-service contractors, on the web and on iPhone. By creating an account you agree to them.
Your account
Accounts are created with Apple or Google. You are responsible for what happens under your account and for the accuracy of what you enter. One person, one account — do not share credentials.
Plans, trials, and payment
- Anvil has a free tier and paid tiers. Paid features are listed on the pricing page.
- A free trial is offered once per identity. Creating additional accounts to obtain repeat trials is not permitted.
- Paid plans renew automatically until cancelled. Cancel any time; access continues to the end of the period you have paid for.
- Subscriptions purchased through the App Store are governed by Apple's refund process.
Your data is yours
You keep ownership of everything you put into Anvil. We claim no rights over your customer records. You can export your data or delete your account at any time. We use your data only to operate the service for you — see the Privacy Policy.
Contracts and signatures
Anvil can generate quotes and contracts and collect signatures from your customers. The content of those documents is yours, and you are responsible for it. Anvil records and seals what was signed; it does not provide legal advice and is not a party to any agreement between you and your customer.
Payments you take from your customers
Card payments run through Stripe under Stripe's own terms. Anvil records that a payment happened; it does not hold your funds and is not responsible for disputes, chargebacks, or taxes arising from your work.
Acceptable use
- Do not use Anvil to send unsolicited bulk email or messages that break anti-spam law.
- Do not upload other people's data you have no right to hold.
- Do not attempt to access another team's data, probe the service for weaknesses without permission, or automate abusive volumes of traffic.
Availability
We work to keep Anvil running and backed up, but the service is provided as is, without a guaranteed uptime commitment. Keep your own copies of anything you cannot afford to lose.
Limits of liability
To the extent the law allows, Anvil is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost profits or lost business. Our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
Ending the agreement
You may stop using Anvil and delete your account at any time. We may suspend an account that breaks these terms, and will tell you why where we reasonably can.
Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced in the app before they take effect, and continuing to use Anvil after that means you accept them.
